The #RCOphth2017 app is packed full of features including a discussion board on the homepage. This is a great way of delegates interacting with each other and discussing the hot topics of the week.

Delegates will be able to personalise their own agendas, syncing with their calendars, so they can make sure they attend all of the sessions relevant to them. Sessions are also split into sub-specialty interest so for example you can view all of the Glaucoma or Neuro sessions in one place.

Each session is packed full of details including photos and bios of all the speakers, a synopsis of the session and where it is located. You can add notes about a session or even tweet about it within the app. And of course, the session information will contain full details of the programme including individual talks and timings.

All speakers will also be listed in one place. This means you see where your favourite speakers are lecturing so you won’t miss that important talk. You will also be able to interact with speakers through various social media channels.

There are interactive Google Maps plus floor plans of the ACC Liverpool so you can find your way around, plus a floor plan of the trade exhibition so you know where to head during the breaks.

All aspects of the app will be fully integrated with social media so delegates, exhibitors and speakers alike can network through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn plus an in-app event chat feature.

All abstracts can be viewed by category so you can plan which ones you want to check out during the breaks. There will be live polling and audience participation, session feedback and ratings, and speakers questions all to be integrated.

Users will be asked to log-in the first time they open the app. This will allow them to personalise their agenda, add exhibitors and speakers as favourites, add notes and PDF documents/handouts from sessions and instant message other delegates.
